In-Person Programs

Warrior Fit

Military can focus on physical fitness and nutrition for optimal level of performance and weight management. Participants will learn how to progress in all principles of fitness to reduce injuries while improving performance, learn the importance of choosing the right health foods for fuel and meal planning and receive individualized caloric recommendations.

Group Lifestyle Balance (GLB)

Military and Civilians can participate in this 12-week progressive weight loss class that provides education, encouragement and the tools to help folks in fitness, nutrition and lifestyle modifications.

Biomechanics of Running (Starting June 1, 2021)

A 9-week class, combining education and practical application.  Participants will learn proper running form, foot strike patterns and selecting the right running shoes as well as learn how to get started with running to include progression, training principles and injury prevention. Our class will also consist of the importance of proper nutrition and fueling for running. The practical portion will include a 9 week application of principles following a “Back to Running” program 3x per week on the Fitness Center outdoor track (weather permitting). 

Sleep Hygiene (Starting June 1, 2021)

Sleep is King!  Participants will learn the causes & consequences of fatigue and sleep deprivation and describe ways sleep is related to performance, exercise, caffeine use, nutritional choices and energy levels.  Then strategies for sleep improvement will be discussed in order to help improve overall health.

Thriving Mind (Starting June 1, 2021)

Who knew that being mindfully aware played such an important part towards our health!  Discover and learn about mindful awareness and how to use the connection between your body, brain and mind to improve your whole self.

Bod Pod Assessments

(Walk-ins only, Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30 – 4:15 p.m.)

Accurate measurement of body composition to include lean mass, fat mass and body fat percentage.  Males must wear spandex shorts or speedo (no sports briefs, regular briefs, underwear or regular shorts). Females must wear spandex shorts & sports bra OR swimsuit.  (no underwire; shorts must NOT pass mid-thigh). No eating, drinking or tobacco use within three hours of analysis.

Stress Management (Starting June 1, 2021)

Stress is a common part of life, however prolonged stress can have a detrimental effect on your health in numerous ways! In this class, learn how to manage your stress more effectively.  Techniques like relaxation practice, increasing physical activity, or changing your thoughts in response to stress can help you lower your stress and improve your readiness. 

Thriving Nutrition & Fitness

This four week challenge series offers insight on nutrition, physical activity, what “whole health” means for a thriving life and strategies to improve all three.
